Tasting notes :
Colour : With a warm glow, the colour is brilliant, golden and sustained.
The nose is flattering and delicate. The very elegant bouquet is made up of sweet notes. Scents of fresh oak and leather underline this vintage Cognac.
On the palate, it unfolds its great freshness, with notes of dried fruit (nut), fig and nutmeg. The elegant rancio character is the hallmark of an exceptional vintage.
Cru : Grande Champagne, 1st AOC Cognac.
Terroir : The soil of Grande Champagne is whitish with a crumbly limestone subsoil; the climate is less influenced by the ocean due to its distance from the sea, but still has a strong continental character : the eaux-de-vie from this region are distinguished by their very fine, very long bouquet. Eaux-de-vie made exclusively in this region can claim the Grande Champagne or Grande Fine Champagne appellation.
Grape variety : 100 % Ugni blanc.
Ageing : In French Limousin-type oak barrels, coarse grain and medium grain.
