The history of the Gosset family began over five centuries ago with the line's first official ancestor, Jean Gosset (1484-1556), "Seigneur d'Aÿ et de Mareuil".

The origins of the company date back to 1584, when Pierre Gosset, seigneur and alderman of Aÿ, decided to open a wine trading house. Sixteen generations of Gosset's direct descendants would go on to make their mark in Aÿ-Champagne, perpetuating the House's know-how and respect for traditional family craftsmanship.
