Marquis de Montesquiou
Société des Produits d'Armagnac du Marquis de Montesquiou et du Comte de Lauvia was actually founded in 1936 by Pierre de Montesquiou, who was both an Armagnac merchant and a politician. The company is renowned for producing Armagnac, a typical French brandy from the Gers region of France.
Indeed, since 1955, only three successive cellar masters have passed on the know-how of Armagnac production within the Société des Produits d'Armagnac du Marquis de Montesquiou et du Comte de Lauvia.
The position of cellar master is essential in an Armagnac distillery, as he is responsible for the production process, ageing and blending of this precious eau-de-vie. Each cellar master contributes his or her expertise and passion to perfecting and perpetuating the ancestral know-how that characterises Armagnac.
