Tasting notes :
Nose : elegant with floral notes, dried fruit, nut, vanilla.
Palate : complex, round and supple with notes of ripe fruit (plum, datte, dried apricot) followed by spices, clove, licorice, vanilla, and rancio.
Finish : smooth and persistent.
Terroir : Bas-Armagnac. Commune of Caupenne d'Armagnac in the Gers. The “boulbènes,” a cold soil typical of Gascogne, composed of clay, silt, and sand.
Grape variety : Baco.
Harvest : 1973.
Ageing : minimum 50 years old in French oak barrels.
Enjoy neat in a tulip glass as a digestif, accompanied by dark chocolate or mature cheeses.
