Vintage 2001 Petite Champagne Cognac Chateau Montifaud
Vintage 2001 Petite Champagne Cognac Chateau Montifaud : 70 cl
This year 2001 has a special flavour for Chateau Montifaud, as 2001 is Laurent's first vintage at the family estate.
This eau-de-vie has been aged for many years in "roux" barrels (French oak, from the Limousin) in our own cellars.
The cask ageing is done under the supervision of a BNIC representative.
Grape variety: Ugni-blanc, Folle Blanche, Colombard.
This vintage has a beautiful straw yellow colour, a nice balance and a beautiful structure.
On the nose, we find aromas of yellow fruit, plum and mirabelle plum. There are also notes of lime blossom.
On the palate, this cognac expresses itself with an extreme sweetness, a beautiful amplitude, and a great finesse. Its aromatic palette evolves towards fruits in brandy.
Tasting suggestion :
No particular advice to appreciate all the roundness of this cognac: a pleasure at any time!
