Tasting notes :
Intense notes of red fruit, blackcurrant and cherry.
Serve chilled (8-10°C), as an aperitif or with dessert. The perfect accompaniment to chocolate.
Ageing : 5 years minimum.
Cru : Petite Champagne.
Terroir : Clay-limestone soils. The limestone content is very high right from the surface. The type of clay found in these soils gives them structure, high fertility and a high water reserve.
Grape varieties : Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon.
Age of the vines : 25 to 80 years, located at the top of the hill of Laage, 17500 Réaux.
Production : Blend of 75 % grape must and 25 % Cognac distilled in the previous year. Aged in French Limousin and Tronçais forest oak barrels.
