Tasting notes :
Colour : amber with coppery highlights.
Nose : very delicate. The first notes to emerge are those of violet and roasted hazelnut. After swirling, the rancio notes become more pronounced and vanilla notes from the oak become apparent.
Palate : the attack is smooth. The aromatic notes evolve, revealing floral and spicy nuances with powerful notes of violet or iris, which are silky and sweet. Then, the harmonious rancio notes envelop the palate with perfect balance.
Finish : good length on the palate with a lovely structure.
Grape variety : Ugni blanc.
Ageing : 48 years in French Limousin oak barrels.
Best enjoyed as an after-dinner drink.
