Vintage 1986 Petite Champagne limited edition Maxime Trijol Cognac

Tasting notes :

Colour : amber with coppery highlights, bright and clear. 

Nose : the initial nose is delicate and complex. The first aromas are of almond and floral notes, such as iris and lily. The second nose, after a little aeration, leans more towards pear,  vanilla from the oak, and a rancio of the very highest quality. Notes of leather and cigar box.

Palate : the attack is supple and round. The initial flavours are floral (white flowers), then sweet (acacia honey) and finally spicy (hazelnut). The rancio notes coat the palate without being overpowering, with a lovely touch of vanilla and supple, melting tannins.

Finish : good length, with lovely aromas and a fine structure.

Grape variety : Ugni blanc.

Ageing : 38 years in French Limousin oak barrel.
