Tasting notes :
Nose : opening on dried fruit, orange peel, dark chocolate and vanilla notes, ending on plum and caramel aromas.
Palate : rich on smoked molasses and caramel.
Finish : ripe fruit finish with a smooth, warm, lingering sweetness.
Origin : Barbados (34 % of blend), Trinidad (35 %), Guyana (20 %), Mauritius – Saint Aubin (6 %), Jamaica – Long Pond, Clarendon Distilleries & Hampden (5 %).
Raw material : molasses and cane juice.
Distillation : column and pot still.
Tropical ageing : ex-Bourbon casks in countries of origin.
Continental ageing : used oak barrels and extensive oxygenation in large open wooden vats for up to three years.
