Tasting notes :
Colour : Beautiful shiny bronze.
Nose : Dense rancio attack (undergrowth, wax, dark chocolate, toffee). Notes of candied orange and honey. Good overall fullness.
Palate : a perfect continuation of the nose, with notes of old oak. Powerful despite the deliberately low alcohol content (aged in damp cellars).
Finish : Long, fine tannins.
This is a fine example of 50 years of ageing in French old oak casks and damp cellars.
