Tasting notes :
Colour : amber with coppery highlights.
Nose : powerful, intense, complex, with notes of exotic fruits, candied fruits, pineapple, apricot, peach, ginger and honey.
Palate : powerful, balanced, fruity and spicy notes, fresh pineapple, dried mango, lemongrass, orange peel, ginger, chilli.
Finish : very long, warm, with notes of pineapple and chilli.
Grape variety : Ugni blanc.
Harvest and distillation : 1973.
Distillation on lees.
Ageing : 39 years in 450-liters French Limousin oak cask in a dry cellar, then transferred in 2012 to a ‘Dame-Jeanne’ glass demijohn.
Un-chillfiltered.
Natural cask strength, with no added sugar or colouring.
Best enjoyed as a digestif in a tulip-shaped glass.
