TASTING NOTES:

Cognac Frapin “RUDY GOBERT XO” offers a brilliant and beautiful yellow and orange colour. The bouquet reveals finesse and elegance thanks to a long ageing in our cellars and the age-old expertise of the Frapin family. Subtle aromas of orange, dried apricots, gingerbread... Balance – finesse. The Cognac Frapin “RUDY GOBERT XO” offers an exceptionally long finish in which all the flavours combine in subtle, complex harmony. The cognac reveals nutmeg notes and light vanilla from the tannin in the wood and a harmonious bouquet with lasting aromas of dried fruits and "rancio".

A PARTNERSHIP THAT MAKE SENSE:

The meeting between Rudy Gobert and Frapin was born through friendship. Gobert is a lover of old spirits. A connoisseur acquaintance of his offered him a bottle of Cognac Frapin Vintage 1992, his birth year. The magic of the tasting did the work... However, it was the meeting, in the flesh, at Frapin and a sharing of common values that sealed the deal. For Rudy Gobert, the challenge is clearly to support a jewel of the French art of living, an "haute couture" cognac that embodies the values of excellence that he holds dear. For Frapin, the personality of the player and his reputation are an asset for developing contacts with the basketball connoisseur public. In July 2021, Rudy Gobert became Frapin’s ambassador to North America. From 2025 he will become a worldwide ambassador. The perfect match to launch the new Cognac Frapin Rudy Gobert XO.

A "Sucess Story" in a spirit of current times:

Defense and efficient offense have been the Frapin’s family winning strategy since 1270. These bold and visionary winegrowers have consistently fought to safeguard and build an exceptional estate comprising 240 hectares of vineyards at the heart of the Grande Champagne region, Premier Cru du Cognac and its extraordinarily priceless stock of vintage eaux-de-vies. Excellence is the rule here: from craftsmanship, upmost care, talent and inspiration. Since the Universal Exhibition in Paris in 1889, Frapin has consistently won awards worldwide. As one of the greatest, Frapin remains faithful to its everlasting values: nurturing one's passion, remaining true to oneself and sharing and as a result is proud to share its values with the "Frenchy" Rudy Gobert.

Natural excellence:

In December of 2020, Rudy signed the richest deal for a center in NBA league history. He has been an NBA All-Star twice and named Defensive Player of the Yearfour times, in 2018, 2019, 2021 as well as last year of 2024. However, Gobert who stands 7 feet 1 inch, remains grounded and has the kindred spirit of a true gentleman. Trained like a precision mechanic, ambitious, demanding, the basketball star also remains deeply attached to the values of respect, work and pleasure. Outside of his career, Rudy Gobert has a passion for food and occasionally strays from a rigorous diet. As he now collects superlatives, he remains extremely loyal to Utah, the state that fostered his growth and also to Minnesota where he is playing for. Still, Gobert isn’t shy either about his strong attachment to France and its art de vivre.
