Navarre

Cognac producer in Grande Champagne since the 18th century

Cognac Navarre

The roots of this Cognac house go back to the 14th century, but the production of Cognac dates from around 1750, making it one of the oldest Cognac producing families.

The Domaine du Renclos, owned by the Navarre family since 1811, is located in the Grande Champagne region and has seen three generations of winemakers/distillers.

When Jacky Navarre took over the Navarre Cognacs, he began by following in the footsteps of his predecessors who cultivated their vineyards and distilled their cognac to supply the major trading houses with eaux-de-vie. But Jacky Navarre's ambition is to produce his own cognac; a cognac of high quality and character, in the image of the owner.

He takes in hand all the phases of production; cultivation, harvesting, grape harvesting, distillation, ageing, blending and bottling of his nectars! For the past 25 years, he has followed a simple and effective philosophy.... nature knows best, it is best to let her!

Epicurean and erudite, Jacky Navarre produces only 3 cognacs, aged between 20 and 50 years, made exclusively from the Grande Champagne region. These are very aromatic cognacs, full-bodied and long on the palate!
