Founded in 1880 by Bordeaux entrepreneur Henry Toursier, this trading house has prospered by exporting Sauternes, Cognac and Clairet de Bordeaux. Renowned for the exceptional quality of its beverages and the boldness of its founder, Maison Toursier became a benchmark in the world of wines and spirits.
However, as its descendants failed to take over the business, it gradually fell into oblivion.
More than a century later, in 2013, the destiny of Maison Toursier took a new turn. Alain Palissière, a Cognac merchant with a passion for the history and heritage of his region, bought an old house in the Charente countryside. The Henry Toursier logo adopts the shape of this house, symbolising a deep connection with its history and roots.
While exploring the attic of this house, he made a discovery: old stencils and posters, all marked with Henry Toursier's name.

These vestiges of a glorious past immediately captivated Alain. He saw an opportunity not only to breathe new life into a historic brand, but also to perpetuate a cultural and winemaking heritage.
Motivated by his discoveries, Alain set about reviving the Maison Henry Toursier. After researching its history and methods, he created new Cognac blends, combining tradition and modernity, to breathe new life into the spirit of the house.
