Cognac Gautier

Gautier is one of the oldest Cognac houses and its history goes back 10 generations.

It began in the 16th century, when the Gautier family produced wooden barrels from the Tronçais forest, famous for the quality of its oak trees.

In 1644, Charles Gautier married Jacquette Brochet, daughter of winegrowers.

From 1700, their grandson, Louis Gautier, developed the Cognac trade. He participated in the expansion of the Cognac trade and the considerable growth of the company, which remained in the family from father to son until recently.
