Tasting notes :
Colour : coppery with brown highlights.
Nose : rich, floral and spicy notes, pepper, blond tobacco, coffee.
Palate : complex, powerful, woody and spicy notes, candied fruit.
Cru : Grande Champagne, 1st AOC Cognac.
Terroir : the soil of Grande Champagne is whitish with a crumbly limestone subsoil; the climate is less influenced by the ocean due to its distance from the sea, but still has a strong continental character : the eaux-de-vie from this region are distinguished by their very fine, very long bouquet. Eaux-de-vie made exclusively in this region can claim the Grande Champagne or Grande Fine Champagne appellation.
Grape variety : Ugni blanc.
Ageing : 27 years in French Limousin-type oak cask, coarse grain and medium grain.
