Royal Cask Strength Grande Champagne Daniel Bouju Cognac

Tasting notes :

Colour : amber with red highlights.

Nose : delicious, with aromas of dried apricot and very ripe, even candied, red fruit. A subtle hint of orange marmalade and liquorice stick. A lovely combination on the nose, accompanied by a hint of menthol freshness.

Palate : rich and succulent. It bursts with a multitude of flavours and remarkable freshness. It's well-rounded, with a hint of brown sugar, which then gives way to notes of liquorice and dark chocolate studded with black cherry. The woody notes, reminiscent of chestnut honey, are balanced by the underlying caramelised sweetness. Spicy notes of clove, cinnamon, nutmeg and black pepper.

Finish : long, clean and rich without being overpowering, and remains very fresh.

Grape variety : Ugni blanc.

Ageing : in French Limousin oak casks.
