The Pineau des Charentes from Hauselmann family is what you can really call a "Pineau maison".
Far from the enormous volumes of the trade, the family knew how to preserve the identity of the Pineau created thanks to a real know-how also by raising its Pineau in the cellars of origin of the family and by using old barrels.
Tasting notes :
Colour : straw yellow.
Nose : floral notes, vanilla, dried fruit, honey.
Palate : fresh, notes of almond, walnut, raisin.
Grape variety : Ugni blanc.
Terroir : on shallow, sandy-clay soil, the presence of limestone rock brings freshness to the grape must.
Ageing : 5 years in old French oak barrels.
Enjoy chilled as an aperitif, with foie gras, cheese or dessert.
