Tasting notes :
Colour : deep gold, with golden honey highlights; dense yet clear brilliance.
Nose : full-bodied, elegant, with a mature character yet still underpinned by minerality : dried flowers (lime blossom, chamomile), candied fruit (apricot, quince), bitter orange on the finish, fresh vanilla and a hint of blond tobacco when aerated.
Palate : depth, controlled warmth, intact freshness. Notes of frangipane, vanilla-cinnamon, a hint of macchiato, “galette des rois”, almond and candied fruit.
Finish : long, precise, mineral.
Cru : Grande Champagne, 1st of the Cognac appellation.
Grape variety : Folle blanche.
Ageing : 10 years in French oak barrel.
