Tasting notes :
Colour : mahogany with coppery highlights.
Nose : opulent, with sumptuous notes of flambéed banana, salted butter caramel, sandalwood and exotic spices.
Palate : full-bodied and indulgent on the attack. The mid-palate reveals flavours of tropical fruit, vanilla, toast and cinnamon.
Finish : warm and lingering.
Grape variety : Ugni blanc.
Crus : Grande Champagne, Petite Champagne, Fins Bois and Borderies.
Ageing : in old French Limousin oak casks.
Best enjoyed as a digestif, with a Cuban Hoyo de Monterrey cigar, 36-month-aged Comté cheese, dessert or dark chocolate.
