Tasting notes :
Colour : dark with hints of old walnut.
Nose : light and airy, floral, with great finesse. Notes of roasted peanut, candied orange and gingerbread. Ageing in oak brings out spicy notes : vanilla, clove and coconut.
Palate : harmonious. Despite the alcohol content, the aromas remain elegant : rancio, quince paste and spices.
Finish : the flavours linger with great persistence.
Grape variety : Ugni blanc.
Crus : Grande Champagne, Petite Champagne, Fins Bois and Bons Bois.
Ageing : in old French Limousin oak casks in a humid cellar.
Best enjoyed as a digestif in a tulip-shaped glass, at 19 degrees, with a dessert or Grand Cru dark chocolate from Madagascar.
