Description
Tasting notes :
Colour : amber.
Nose : powerful, rich and complex, with notes of candied fruit (mandarin), dried fruit (hazelnut), spices (vanilla) and cedar wood.
Palate : balanced, structured tannins, delicious aromas of cocoa, pepper and tobacco.
Finish : sublime length with exotic fruit notes.
Grape variety : Ugni blanc.
Crus : 52 % Grande Champagne, 48 % Petite Champagne.
Harvest : 1970 (67 %), 1971 (33 %).
Ageing : 54 years on average in French oak barrels.
