Tasting notes :

Colour : mahogany with coppery highlights.

Nose : on first nosing, the rancio comes through boldly. With aeration, the bouquet develops notes of old leather, vanilla, lime blossom and vine blossom, complemented by hints of sweet spices that add complexity without weighing the wine down.

Palate : this Cognac confirms the fullness of the nose. The attack is full-bodied and silky; the mid-palate unfolds with a mellow roundness where mellowed spices intertwine with honey.

Finish : long, warm, with remarkable sweetness.

Crus : 50% Grande Champagne, 50% Petite Champagne.

Ageing : in French Limousin oak casks.
