Tasting notes :
Colour : golden yellow with coppery highlights.
Nose : complex, with fruity, woody and spicy notes.
Palate : balanced and smooth.
Cru : Grande Champagne, 1st in the Cognac AOC. The Grande Champagne terroir is distinguished by its clay-limestone soil, which allows the roots to grow deep and draw all the necessary nutrients, whatever the season.
This specific soil type gives Cognac two major advantages :
Floral and refined eaux-de-vie, rich in delicate aromas.
Exceptional ageing potential, allowing the production of very old Cognac with unique rancio notes.
Grape variety : Ugni blanc.
Ageing : an average of 16 years in French oak barrels.
