Tasting notes :
Eye : Golden yellow with coppery golden highlights.
On the nose : Intense and elegant, fruity and empyreumatic, with notes of vanilla and chocolate.
On the palate : Smooth attack, supple and full on the mid-palate.
Fine finish.
Well-balanced, complex and round.
Grape variety : Ugni blanc.
Harvest : 2007.
Ageing : 1 year in new Limousin oak barrels, followed by ageing in old oak barrels.
No caramel added.
Gold medal in 2005 and 2016 at the VSOP Cognac competition at the Grande Champagne trade fair.
Given the exceptional age of this Cognac, it's more akin to an XO, which should be enjoyed as an after-dinner drink at room temperature to fully express all its aromas.
