Desse Raymond Cognac

Winegrowers from father to son for 5 generations, the vineyards of Raymond Desse Cognac is located in Segonzac, capital of Grande Champagne.

The vineyards covers 12 hectares on hillsides and plains. The grape variety used is essentially Ugni blanc with just a little Colombard. The grapes ripen rather late, producing grape juices that are slightly acidic and low in alcohol : characteristics that are particularly suited to distillation.
The wines have been distilled on the Estate since 1968. The Cognac produced is then "housed" exclusively in French Limousin oak barrels for many years. Quietly in the shade of the "cellar", the Cognac perfects its bouquet.

Raymond Desse's motto : Cognac can only be improved with serenity. Rushing is the enemy of quality.
