Tasting Notes :

A stunning expression of five decades worth of slow maturation and biding one’s time, the Audry Reserve Aristide will encapsulate your senses and take you on an aromatic journey. It has been bottled straight from the Limousin and Tronçais oak barrels in which it has spent 50 years aging, hence its deserved Reserve Cognac status. Audry have outdone themselves with this wonderful ode to the Grande Champagne, whose eaux-de-vie they manage to capture so well in aromas, colour and flavors.

In the words of Jean Aubry from Montreal: "The most perfect example of an eau-de-vie that reveals itself like Russian nesting dolls. Once you have started you can't stop yourself looking ever further".

The Grande Champagne is renowned for producing premium quality Cognac, with a light and floral quality. The Reserve Aristide Cognac does all of this and more. Thanks to the unique soil composition of chalk and limestone, the soil drains incredibly well and vines remain hydrated. The cru is positioned on the hillsides of the Cognac region, making for optimal sunlight exposure and all of the perfect properties of a Premier Cru Cognac.

Learn more about the product :

Immerse yourself in the undeniable finesse and elegance of a Fine Champagne Cognac with Audry Napoléon Cognac. An impeccable blend of 50% Grande Champagne and 50% Petite Champagne eaux-de-vie. These two premium terroirs have earned a reputation for producing Cognacs of exceptional finesse, thanks to the high limestone content of the soil. Its limestone subsoil and geological origins date back millions of years, when shells were fossilized during the Jurassic period. Combined with its maritime climate, the soil has excellent drainage, and the vineyards are optimally located on the hillsides. With perfect sun exposure and optimal soil composition, Cognacs such as Audry Napoléon Fine Champagne are typically floral and light, and this one in particular is the perfect introduction to the Cognacs from these 2 crus.

As a Cognac Napoléon, the youngest eaux-de-vie in the blend have been aged between 15 and 18 years. In general, Fine Champagne Cognacs take longer to mature and develop in Limousin oak casks. The philosophy behind this Cognac is that the perfect blend is a balance between the bouquet of the grapes, the tannins of the oak in the barrel and the oxidation of the cellar. Audry Cognacs are somewhat traditional in their approach to Cognac production, offering this precious nectar in limited quantities.
