HISTORY
Created by Jean-Sébastien Robicquet, the new Rum Anne Bonny draws its inspiration from the story of a famous Caribbean pirate of the 18th century. From an early age, Anne dreamed of a life other than the one imposed by her status as a woman and the society of the time. At the age of sixteen, driven by her desire for adventure and freedom, Anne married James Bonny, a regional pirate. Their marriage soon proved to be a disillusionment. In the taverns the couple frequented, Anne Bonny meets the notorious pirate Jack Rackham. A whirlwind romance love at first sight leads them to form a feared duo on the Caribbean seas. By his side, she will forge her own legend, that of a formidable and independent woman who doesn't hesitate to disguise herself as a man to live on the ship and jump aboard with her companions. She soon meets another female pirate, Mary Read. Sisters in arms, struggling to love and protect each other, these two women share a rare and precious bond. A heart that burns, a fiery spirit, an adventurous soul. The legend of Anne Bonny resonates beautifully today!
