Tasting notes :
Colour : golden yellow with golden highlights.
Nose : floral, fruity, candied fruit, with woody, toasty and vanilla notes, and a characteristic hint of liquorice that adds depth and a touch of freshness.
Palate : fresh on the attack, with the same aromatic profile. Supple on the mid-palate with lovely fullness.
Finish : a rare aromatic persistence for a VSOP Cognac.
Grape variety : Ugni blanc.
Cru : Grande Champagne, the first of the Cognac AOC. Limestone slopes.
Ageing : 10 years in French oak barrels, alternating between damp and dry cellars.
