Tasting notes :
Colour : deep gold with brown highlights.
Nose : complex; the initial nose is characterised by notes of stone fruit, prune and vine peach. These are followed by notes of honey and spices (cinnamon). The bouquet finishes with a hint of age and a very pleasant rancio.
Palate : powerful, round and well-balanced. All the complexity perceived on the nose is present, enhanced by subtle woody notes.
Finish : offering light toasted and clove notes.
Grape variety : Ugni blanc.
Cru : Grande Champagne, 1st in the Cognac AOC. Limestone slopes.
Ageing : a minimum of 25 years in French oak barrels, alternating between damp and dry cellars.
