Tasting notes :
Colour : sumptuous, coppery gold.
Nose : complex, oaky, with notes of vanilla, toffee, cinnamon, fresh almond and light oak against a backdrop of acacia honey.
Palate : complex, round, very rich, peach in syrup, almond.
Finish : indulgent and long.
Harvest : 2000.
Grape varieties : predominantly Semillon, complemented by Sauvignon blanc and Sauvignon gris.
Ageing : initially in new barrels, then, from 2001 onwards, in second-hand barrels that had previously held a prestigious Sauternes wine for several months.
