Tasting notes :
On the nose : smooth and fruity.
On the palate : A vibrant, summery Cognac perfect for fine weather. Round, mineral and fresh.
A saline finish.
Cognac de terroir, Spring special edition.
Cru : Borderies.
Harvest : 2016.
Grape variety : Ugni blanc.
Distillation : without lees.
Ageing : Creation of 2 new barrels using French oak staves selected by the Tonnellerie de Jarnac, dried for 1 year by the Atlantic Ocean and sprayed with seawater, exposed to sea spray. They were then filled into staves and casks.
2 different toastings were carried out (one light and one stronger).
The wine spent 13 days in these new casks before being blended.
