It's a blend of grape must (Merlot, cabernet franc and Cabernet Sauvignon grape varieties) and Cognac for our Pineau des Charentes rosé.
Matured on the lees in old Cognac casks. Ageing during 12 years.
Painturaud Frères' Vieux Pineau Rosé is aged in French oak barrels in our cellars in Segonzac.
Its colour, paler than our young pineau rosé, is tiled/ruby.
Quite unusual, its elegant, complex nose reveals aromas of cherry and candied orange.
The palate is well-balanced and fine.
Delicious with : As an aperitif or with chocolate desserts.
