Since 1850, Distillerie Merlet & Fils has been distilling Cognac brandy for prestigious houses. Originally focused on this activity, the company gradually diversified under the impetus of Gilles Merlet.
In the 1970s, the difficult economic context led him to try alternative crops, so he decided to grow blackcurrants and produced his first bottles of creams. This was followed by a complete range of fruit creams, marketed under the Merlet brand.
Later, the Merlet & Fils distillery joined forces with winegrowers to invest in a wine-making site.
In 2001, the Merlet & Fils distillery created the Hpnotiq liqueur and obtained exclusive rights to its production. Volumes explode in the USA, making it possible to invest in a new bottling plant. Innovation is at the heart of the business.
In 2009, the Merlet range of fruit creams won numerous awards in international competitions.
Between the development of its own brands and services for professionals in the sector, Distillerie Merlet & Fils continues to innovate and make a name for itself with its Liqueurs and Cognacs
