The House of Hennessy
contributes to writing the history of craftsmen. From the vineyards to the refined details of our decanters, each of our craftsmen shares both the pride and humility of authentic work.
Founded in 1765, Hennessy
was born from the vision of one man, Richard Hennessy. An Irish officer in the service of the King of France, he foresaw the extraordinary commercial potential of Cognac eaux-de-vie on the international market, established his own trading business and founded a dynasty.
For more than 250 years, eight generations of the Hennessy
family have succeeded each other at the head of the House to consolidate it, broaden its scope and make Hennessy a major player in luxury spirits worldwide.
Beyond the fabulous commercial adventure of a brand present on every continent and in more than 160 countries, Hennessy
cognac is, throughout the world, an illustration of the French art of living.
To ensure excellence and diversity of notes, Hennessy selects the best grapes exclusively from the four great growths of the AOC (Grande Champagne, Petite Champagne
, Borderies and Fins Bois).
The flagship VS, VSOP and XO qualities of the House of Hennessy are regularly produced in Limited Editions
, in partnership with great artists (Painter, Sculptor, Designer, Musician, etc.), which are highly sought after by collectors.
